Oh, crap.

So I'm getting ready to go to bed, and ... well, it's a long story, but despite identifying with Ban, for a minute I had the thought "Though sometimes I feel like maybe I'm Teshimine instead..."

And this hit me.

Closest thing Ginji has to a father figure. He's mysterious, stoic without being cold, kinder than he looks, protected Ginji while letting him have his independance, tried to give him some happiness in a depressing world, keeps himself aloof...

...You know how people say that girls, when they get old enough to date, tend to look for boys who are something like their fathers? I wonder if that would be true of, erm..........

*brain breaks* I did not need more psychological reasoning backing up the idea of Ban and Ginji being a couple, thank you.

Edit: Or of course, on a more basic level, Ginji could just be seeking a replacement for the kind of relationship he had with Teshimine, who left him. Which would explain why he can't seem to stand being separated from Ban unexpectedly, and I already was beginning to wonder if all his physicalness towards Ban (and everyone else) wasn't really a conscious mature desire for physical intimacy, but just the unabashed expression of fondness that you'd find in a child (my seven year old brother climbs all over people, for example)...

...I only do this to characters I really, really like, by the way.
